At Aura Wellbeing our mission is to support people to reach—and sustain—their optimal wellbeing.
Wellbeing is the experience of health, happiness, and prosperity. It includes having good mental and physical health, a high level of life satisfaction, a sense of meaning or purpose and a sense of balance.
At Aura, our mission is to support people to reach—and sustain—their optimal wellbeing, whether it’s in a professional context working with employers to support their staff or supporting individuals on a coaching basis.
Our name is important to us.
We believe that if someone has reached optimal wellbeing, their energy, presence—or what some might call their aura—is unmistakable. People will notice; you'll notice yourself. You'll find you're more resilient to obstacles you encounter in your personal and professional life. Relationships will be healthier, your body and mind will function at their finest. Life will simply flow.
It's not always easy, the journey to optimal wellbeing. There is some hard work and sacrifice involved, but it's well worth it.
We'll help you get there.
Founder, Aura Wellbeing
Heather started her career as a photographer and journalist before spending 10 years as a senior manager in the insurance industry in her native California. After the life-changing experience at age 30 of losing her mother to bowel cancer she decided to bring her pipe dreams to life. She moved to Europe, obtained a Master's degree and made a complete career change to work more aligned with her sense of purpose.
Heather spent four years working for the mental health charity Mind, where she led the development and operation of the Workplace Wellbeing Index, the UK’s only benchmark of best policy and practice in workplace mental health. She and her team advised over one hundred UK employers on how to make the mental health of their staff a business priority.
Supporting employers to foster mentally well workplaces is fundamental to her work with clients. Nutritional wellness is also a central focus.
As a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, she advocates for bringing more awareness to a growing evidence-base proving that what we eat directly impacts resistance to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, cancers and our mental wellbeing.
While it's her active mission to help create more well workplaces, Heather's equally determined to guide individuals on their journeys to reach and sustain personal wellbeing through her one-to-one coaching work.
